2x72 Belt Grinder Kit from DIY Grinder (No Welding Necessary)

DIY Grinder's machines being used by multiple manufacturers making cutting tools, firearms and automotive accessories. The DIY 2x72 Belt Grinder kit is designed to be used with 2”x72” abrasive belts and accept a 56c face mount motor (2hp motor recommended).

Designed in CAD and laser cut for precision. The upper frame, lower frame, platen, tool rest, and tension arm, are all constructed of 1/4" steel. The D Plate is a robust 3/8” steel. The tooling arm is 1.5”x1.5”x18” square steel tubing.  

Once assembled, the platen is fully adjustable so the perfect belt to platen wall alignment can be achieved. The upper frame assembly has a 90 degree tilt range. The tilt feature is easily engaged from two screws. Tilting increases functionality of the grinder and allows for the use of surface grinders and other attachments.    

Grinders are shipped to you as a bolt together kit. There is no welding required!  All of the drilling and tapping has already been completed. The kit arrives without a finish applied (Bare metal). Simply paint the kit your color of choice, then bolt it together with the included hardware.
